Question Launch Control

anyone use one of these before? from what I've heard they are pretty cool. I've just never seen a lancer with one installed.

if you have one, how is it?

If its anything like the stock one on the evo 9, they are pretty sweet and make it easier to launch. All you do is floor it and the motor stops revving at the preset RPM. Makes it easy to launch at a certian rpm, plus it sounds cool.

^Did you even read the item's description? LOL This take actually controls launch via the brake system. I don't like it, especially if you have an auto...

The Evo and my Civic have launch control via the ecu. Not sure about the Evo, but mine is set at the Vtec pt...4800.

^Nope, not close... 2-step is having two different boost settings - low / high. Low for the launch, and high for 2nd gear and up. Hope that helps.

This basically applies the brakes for you so you can just rev the motor up and let go.

Using that as the basis of the product...using auto then would still be out of the question.

If you're driving stick you don't need to hold the brake, just the clutch and the gas pedal.

on a front wheel drive car just use the e-brake - that way you can get the clutch to almost engage and not roll thru the lights.

? Ok guys simply saying "oh double clutch it yo" or "heel-toe" does not make you a racer, it makes you a ricer. Why would you heel-toe in an auto? You can put the left foot on the brake and use the right to rev the car up. In a manual you wouldn't need the brakes so you'd simply use your left for the clutch and the right for the gas.
