try searching for the tires on a seach engine, youll most likely come upon some reviews on these tires, (i.e. road noise, handling, rain grip, etc.)

They are fine when it's dry, they don't perform well in the rain or snow and they are rumoured to be generic yokohama and nitto tires. Supposedly they are made at the same place as the nitto and yokos and use similar compound.

This is all rumour i read in some other forums/ websites.

wow KTR, you sure are a wealth of info...

Trust me, I search before I post here so don't think I'm a lazy ****. There is no one here using champiro tires so I already did my search on this forum. And all I get in google was forum in indonesian language(I don't speak indonesian btw) or other bull**** language I can't even speak. All i want is 4 anyone in EvoM knowing anything about this tire to give their opinion or point me in the right direction

Most of the hits are of language other than english

Google search for Champiro

Hey defeated26 what forums did you find these infos at? Thanks

If the tire isn't sold in the US (I'm assuming it's not DOT approved since I've never seen ANYONE in the US selling them) chances are there are precious few people here who could help you.

And please keep the name calling in PMs.

EDIT: Looks like I'm wrong. First hit on the google search was a US retailer so all signs point to DOT approved.

You sure about the name? Toyo makes a tire in Asia called the Trampio. This tire is not availbe to the public. They are using it as the rain tire in the SCCA Speed GT series. I do have a contact in Hong Kong who can get these. But the duty would be quite high. Great tire though. Kicked butt at Lime Rock on the Factory BMW's.

FYI, Nitto is made by Toyo. They are the Private lable brand for Toyo. Hope that helps.

Tswift, the company is GT Radial but I'm not sure if it's a subsidiary of Toyo.

KTRLancer thanks for finding that valuable info. But I'm particularly interested in forum discussions of these tires, not reviews from otherwise endorsed websites. Basically needing advice straight from the horse's mouth

Thanks KTR and others, I think i kinda got everything I need I guess no one here in EvoM uses these tires...I wonder if moving this to Asia section would yield better response for having experience with these tires...
