tire question..

im looking into buying new tires for my lancer oz rally.. i have the stock 15in oz rims with 195/60/15 tires.. would a 205/50/15 fit my stock rims?? ive asked around and people yes but then some people said no.. anyone out there really know if it would fit or not??

if so, i was looking into getting nitto neogens.. any other tires you guys would recommend??

thanks!!!

it should work. the stock rims are 15x7 with stock tires 195/60-15. i think it'll be ok since if you change your rims to 16x7s the recommended tire size is 205/50-16, the width of the rims is the same. so i don't see why 205mm wide tire wouldn't fit. anyone correct me if i'm wrong.

Miata.net has a great tire calculator. you can compare sizes and see how much of a difference it will or wont make.

I found 205/55 15s are the closest match to the stock size. That's what I'm running in the summer.

well first of all the stock oz rim size is 15x6... and yes the tires you say will fit without much problems... i have 205/60/15 on my stock oz rims and they were fine.... look big on the small rims but fit lol.... i havent tried em with my s-techs but they shouldn't rub i hope...
