Suggested springs for 18" wheels
hey~
i am planning on getting the Exel Ennio 18" wheels with 215/35/18 tires. i am just curious, what would u all suggest for springs to lower the ride. or if you have a different approach other than springs. Any and all suggestions i will gladly take. thanks a bunch everybody!
just if you're curious these are the wheels:

It also depends on the tires that youre gonna get. If you go 18s and try 235s, they probably will rub. A 225 might just do the trick. Espelirs (made by Rays Engineering - also makers of Volk rims) are coming up with their Active GT springs (the red ones) for the Evolution. They are stiffer and probably not even lower your Evo by much. I have the Active Super Down (blue) springs and they are 30% stiffer than my Eclipse GSX stock.
By the way, what offset is the Evo's wheel?

I have 18" wheels and I droped my car with the intrax springs. They lower it 1.5 up front and 1.4 in the rear and I have NO RUB!!! My wheels have a 40mm offset and 215/35-18 sized tires.

My friend has 18s with 205/35/18 tires and Eibach springs, and they barely rub at one point in the steering, but it's not a problem. And also, they didn't rub with the previous owner of the rims and tires on a different OZ that was on Progress springs. Just make sure you have a correct offset for the rim width and a propper tire size (Babbling Sponge seems to have a good setup). and you should be fine.
