Tein SS kit is about 1,190 sold @ www.roadracemotorsports.com/lancer.htm

JIC's are $1,800 from Z1 Performance

Rumor has it that RRM will be producing a coilover/strut kit that should be on sale around Christmas. . . that's all the rumor info I have.

RRM is helping Tein develop an intermediate coilover dampener kit. Your choices are (depending on exactly what you're looking for):

Jic (adjustable shocks, springs, and camber) $1800
Tein SS (adjustable shocks and springs) $1190
Tein (adjustable springs, fixed shocks) $800-900
Ground Control (adjustable springs, shocks not included) $300-400
Skunk2 (adjustable springs, shocks not included) $???

I'm gonna assume the new kit is gonna be of the Basic (Tein "trim" level) since the description seems to match current Tein descriptions of a kit of the caliber.

Ghostrider found a set of Ground control coilovers and they're AWESOME!! There was about 850# of people in his car the night he installed them and the car stuck every corner like a slot car! (4 of us rode with him, I weigh about 300 and another dude is pretty weighty looking, so I'm guesstimating).
We are a little worried about his already squishy shocks.

JIC, I believe, also has that bad *** inverted strut design and uses a "pillowball" mount (I think it's for camber adjustments ).

Once you get into that kind of cashish (full adjustable coilovers) quality becomes less of a discussion issue and the options and mounting are what people bicker about.

good luck

TEIN seems the way to go. Either SS or the new Basic kit when that comes out.
