camber correction kits

hey all, this was previously discussed, but i'm bringing it up again.

ever since i lowered the car, and got me rims, i always noticed the negative camber on the rear, its probably not that much, maybe about 1degree, probably not enough to bald my inside of the tires, but i dont wanna take chances.

RRM only offers front camber kits.

obx, however, has front and rear, and they're like only 50bucks, around there. anyone install these yet?

can anyone confirm that these will fit the ES? or OZ? or both?
i got an ES.

the only thing i'm concerned about, is that, if i make the wheels straight, the upper tire part might rub with the inside of the rear fenders.....which is already cutting it close.

and these are with the progress springs (which are great by the way, no squeaky noise and ****).

plz let me know.

Your rear wheels can adjust camber from stock, so you don't really need a camber kit on the rear. Since the fronts can not adjust camber as is, the kit makes you able to adjust them all around. I am pretty sure the kit will fit the ES, as I think the mounting parts ar the same, just the bolt pattern and shocks are different, but don't quote me on that.

Brian, you seem to know your way around the springs, so let me address this question to you; I understand the camber adj. is not considered needed until you drop 1.5 or more, but if you do a less extreme drop would you still benefit from the adj? I am considering the Eibach springs (pro-kit, what shock go with this?). Thanks

I have the Eibachs, and my camber is not in specs. I was at the alignment shop looking at the computer and the fronts were off.

i dropped i think 1.7 to 2 inches with the progress springs for the ES. or maybe i'm imagining its about 2 inches, but it was alot more than i thought, can't say that i'm dissatisfied, but now i have abit of negative camber in the rear, and with my 205/40/17's, if i adjust the rear to make it straight, i'm afraid the top of the wheel will rub with my rear fender wells....

I am running -1 camber all around right now with 215 tires, no rubbing issues at all. As a matter of fact, I plan on making the fronts about -1.7 now.

a904dam, I would at least get it checked, so you know how far off you are. 0 to -1 degree is fine on the street, but make sure toe is aligned properly.

Just to throw this in, I recommend camber plates over a correction kit. Although right now I just have the correction kit, I am planning on installing plates on the front some time soon. Tein makes them, and a shop local to me gets $145 for them. And I'm sure Rob at Road///Race can get them too.

yo bri i'm dropped 1.8-2 inches all around, the funny hting is tho, i dont have neg camber in the front, just the rear....

i think ur not rubbing cuz u have some -1 in the front, i only got -1 in the back.

when i make a sharp turn, the car rolls to its side and rubs, under my front fenders, the plastic well wall is like melted/scratched off a the tip where the rivet goes.

Yeah, when I had the camber checked after installing the suspension, the rears were at -1 but the fronts were almost 0. Now I am running -1.5 up front and -0.7 rear, still no rubbing with my 215 tires, and I plan on putting 1/4" toe out at the track. I'm gonna kick @$$ (or spin a full 360) this Sunday!
