tire chain for gts

I've been browsing around for some really good tire chains...

was looking at several tire chains (but very similar designs)

I was considering a pair of winter tires but it hardly ever snow in Seattle and in the surrounding cities so I'm not so sure about it.

I know tons of people here have been saying the stock Dunlop tires for the Lancer GTS sucks in snow and ice, but I did fine for the most part of the snow storm that hit Seattle on November 22, 2010. Only certain incline/decline roads where I struggled a bit, which is expected on my car. So I am considering one of these tire chains for my car.

Thule k-summit

Xaxton snow chain

Rud Centrax
http://www.autow.co.uk/snow_chains/r...t_centrax.html

All three have very similar price range, but so far the best deal I found was on the Thule K-summit for 379.99 shipped from Amazon

What do you guys think?

Upgrade your Stock tires to the Conti DWS tire, if your saying it hardly snows and the weather isnt really bad. Then you will benefit from any other tire other than the Dunlop SP5000 Crap. Your doing yoruself a favor, throw them away.

Arent Chains illegal?

You need to see if chains are even legal where you are.

But its better to run either a dedicated snow or all-season tire for winter months over summers with optional chains.

yeah it's legal when there's black ice and huge amount of snow falling. I also plan on taking my car in the passes.
