hey guys, i have a query for those of you who know about suspension and junk. i heard that if u heat up ur springs and rock the body up and down that you can lower your car. now im sure that to some extent this wud work and to another extent ud screw up ur springs. so my question is their a safe way to make sure u lower ur car and not screw some sh*t up?

why do you want to ruin your car, if you do that your going to have unevenness, just spend $157 for some springs, and $130 to get them installed.

that is how we did it in the early 90's and it made your car ride like crap but it looked cool. but you have to remove the springs and use a spring condenser to do this rocking the car wont work . another old school way to lower is to pull your springs measure them and get out the hack saw. this also makes your car ride like ****. just to let you know i am going on friday and paying a total of $335 to have a set of eibach springs installed. its your choice but forking out the monney is the best way to go.

One of my friends saw away 2" of her Civic's springs. The ride was BAD, can't handle the car, she ended up totaled the Civic

If you want to lower your car, do it the "right" way.

There was a kid who worked with me two years ago who had a older BMW 325 and he torched his springs. I't seemed to work alright but I would'nt advise it.
