coilovers by eibach

i heard that the Coilovers by eibach are really good. Now this is my first project car and dont know that much about coilovers. If i have this right, you can adjust the height of your suspension with coilovers, correct? now, do they tell you how to lower it so many inches on the instructions? also, how bad will these kill the stock shocks and smooth will the ride be? i really like the smooth ride the stock springs/coilovers have on the lancer... please! thanks.

i put tein coilovers on my car last week and the directions told me how low to take the spring adjusters to have the right amount of movement for the shocks. any good coilover should tell you in detail how "not" to screw up their product

First, Eibach doesn't make a coilover kit for the Lancer. Second, what you're probably thinking of is the Ground Control coilover sleeves. They are ONLY sleeves. Mounted to your stock shocks, they're liable to kill them quickly with a drop lower than say...1.5". The only true coilover setups are from JIC Magic and from Tein. Both offer adjustable damping and ride height.

Those are Ground Control Coilover SLEEVES. They do not allow variable dampening, only raising or lowering of ride height. Like I said, there are only 2 REAL coilover options: JIC Magic and Tein.
