Drum to Disc Conversion

Would it be posible to use the rear disc brakes from the ralliart to do a drum to disc conversion on the normal US lancer?

You would have to fabricate your own mounts for the caliper and some other stuff... it's doable but dont expect it to be 100% bolt on.

You would not have to fabricate anything if you took the whole hub and brake assembly (assuming the hubs fit...which is a pretty safe assumption methinks). Of course then you'd want the fronts too. It'd essentially just be a 5-lug conversion with brakes as a bonus.

why do you want rear discs? The rear end is pretty light and you run the risk of locking up. . . . .

I'm not planning on doing it I was just wondering whether its possible, just got the idea from a car magazine. If anything I'd just put on the wilwood big brakes on my front end.

The Wilwoods look amazing...If only I'd take the freakin' time to install mine

My brake lines (the copper tubing part) are stripped to hell though, so I can't put on my stainless steel brake lines, and I don't want to have to buy new winter tires just yet. So this goes on the back burner.
