Strut Bolt Problem

Got a problem. I went out to hook up my grounding cable set and found out that one of the bolts holding on my strut bar can't be removed by conventional means. The bolt is spinning when I try to remove the nut with a socket wrench. I can get my hand up underneath, right above the spring, and can feel the smooth head spinning around when I turn it. Any ideas on how to get the damn thing to hold still so I can take off the nut? I'm going to be putting on new springs soon so it's gotta come off...not to mention the fact that my suspension is not solid!

Use the Grip Jaw lock on bottom then top use socket to take bolt off. Try it I think it will work

I tried to do that but couldn't get the pliers up under there to grab it. I'm going to buy two sets of needle-nose Vise Grips tonight and try to use one to hold the bolt and the other to turn it. However, any other ideas will be greatly appreciated!

You talking about the bolt in the center? It's not gunna come off until you remove the pressure of the springs with a spring compresure.

Not the center bolt but one of the three surrounding bolts.

The bolt should come out just as easily as when you removed it to put on your strut bar! Dunno why it's being difficult this time around. Prolly cuz you're trying to install something else.

LOL! Probably so. For whatever reason the grip that it had on the underside of the strut tower is no more. I'm determined, though, and I should be able to get it.
