suggested replacement shocks
hey guys,
i have the progress lowering springs on my car and i love them. however, i am about to do some major overhauls on my car and was thinking of going with tein adjustables. well i did some reading and i dont think i like the way the teins sound compared to just the progress springs. i think im gonna keep them. but i do want to change out the shocks/struts, whatever they are called, haha. does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a good set to put on the lancer.
thanks
tim

Are you talking about just shocks? Cuz there aren't any available as of yet.
If you're talking about a coilover setup that replaces the entire housing, it all depends on what you need. The Tein Basic has a preset and non-adjustable dampening, whereas the Tein SS and the JIC FLTA-2 has 15 way dampening adjustability.
As far as what you need and how much you want to spend is up to you. I know the FLTA-2s run a breezy $1900 retail.

When I emailed Koni and KYB, they said they had no current plans on making Lancer shocks. Tokiko claimed to be working on one for both the ES and the OZ. But that's what Koni said a couple years ago.
If you haven't bought springs yet, get a Tein or JIC coilolver kit and cut your losses... just my .02
