hey guys...i've got 03 lancer ls...and as all of us know its auto...well sometimes whem im driving in "D" and the rpms go to about 3k...it just gets stuck there...i have 2 push teh gas pedal to make it shift into next...ne1 else have that problem??? is it bad??? what should i do??? any input is appreciated...thanks

 

you might have a piece of dirt in the valve body.. change your oil and filter.. 2 it could be a common prob i dont know never worked on mitsu junk auto, 3 take it to the dealer, or aa(insert horn here)mco.. aamco.. thats all i got for ya..

Something similar happened to me in my 03 ES. All I did was disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, and the tranny shifted fine after that.

 

i have had that issue, my auto tranny is shot right now. in 1st gear when i wanna floor it it gets stuck at 2k rpm for about a couple of secs than it starts to move than i get boosted. my tranny is holding back so much power. i kno it is i feel it. auto tranny's r garbage either way. honostly mercedes auto trannys r the best. and volkswagon auto tranny r nice to, vw tranny puts the power down. just brakes alot lol

Hey, thats happened to me before. Unfortunatley I never really looked in to it. Let me know what you come up with.

hmm tried disconnecting the batt...now it doesnt get stuck stuck but it wont shift into the next gear until i give it more gas...gotta take it to teh dealership...grrrr

 

i am having the same problem too...does it make a lil squeeky sound when it gets stuck? cuz mine does

 

Yeh mine lags a little from 1st to 2nd but after that it takes off

 

ok nvm last post...it still gets stuck...today it got stuck then i accl and it felt like sum1 jus smashed into my car from behind...def. goin 2 dealer tommo

 

Getting the same problem.

 

I know this problem. My friend was able to identify and change the auto sensor on the shifter. Its a tiny plastic thing, after changing that it fixed my problem.

 

Mine doesnt get "stuck", but If im just accelerating slowly in D and say in 2'nd gear I hold rpm's at like 3.5-4k it wont overdrive shift into 3'rd. itll hang out and sometimes ill get a jerk if it decides to shift.... dunno if thats what your talking about.

 

^^^^^ Mine does the same... I just need a tranny flush to help out with my tranny issues. Help comes the tax rebate.
