Throw Out bearings

I have purchased a stage 2 clutch from www.Optionimports.com and in the picture it shows throw out/pilot bearings but when i received the kit it only came with clutch/pressure plate and alignment tool.... http://www.optionimports.com/spclkitst2la1.html and the reason why i wanted teh kit was because of the bearings cuz my throw outs are shot... anyways my question is, where can i find stock throw out and pilot bearings? with out going to the dealer.

get a throwout bearing from mitsubishi parts dept and tell them youre from some dealer ship (like VW, honda, etc) and say you want wholesale price.

same with the pilot bearing. i think they call it a release bearing and a sleeve

Dealer would be the fastest option, but I believe you can get them online, I'll see if I can find the website.

Go to the dealer. You don't need to lie to them, just don't give them your name or VIN. You're not obligated to.

Hmmmm....it says at the link "bearings" so you could always try calling them and see if they simply forgot.

well you can get like 10 bucks off for wholesale. you can always just ask for the part number and go on mitsubishiparts.net, but they charge shipping so it basically evens out to dealer price anyways.

Why do you need the release bearing anyways, I thought for a clutch job all you need are a clutch disc, pressure plate, alignment tool and a throw out bearing.

I'm assuming the release bearing is the TO bearing there. I may be wrong, but as I understand it that was just a different name. As for the cost... I just post the links.

The TO bearing shouldn't have much bearing on driving. It really only plays a part in the release/engagement of the clutch. If you're not having luck with your dealership just try another.

$70 is still pretty cheap. The one the dealership offered to me was $105, and yes you should change the throw out bearing when you change your clutch.
