hah, i like this thread, it makes me really pi$$ed. lol. everybody told me to replace the t.o.b. when i put in my stg 2, well i did and now after driving 9,000 miles it is VERY BAD, it made noise from about 1500 miles after i changed the clutch, my point being, if yours isnt broke(making noise) DONT REPLACE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i wasted 105 dollars at my mitsu dealer for this POS too. the reason im sooooo angry is my stock tob didnt make ANY noise.

i had to vent, sorry, but i couldnt be more serious

I'm ordering my clutch/flywheel kit thru WORKS, and they set me up a package deal.. a GOOD deal. They are putting the correct throw out bearing in with my order too. Its all set and ready to go, all I have to do is order it.. and oh yea, they said there are different throw out bearings depending on what month/year your car was made. Make sure you get the right one.. like a 10/3/2003 COULD be different than at 9/5/2003.. I'm not sure where they cut the dates off, but there are different ones too.

I'd never heard that multiple TO bearing thing...Mitsubishiparts.com only has one listed for the 2003's. I can't imagine why they'd be different, or why one wouldn't work with the other though.

Dunno, thats just what WORKS told me. Maybe if someone is concerned they should contact them and ask. They told me in a PM that there are different TOB's depending on the month you're car was made, and you have to order the right one. I was just making an example by the dates I used earlier, I have no clue what they might be.

Well, that may have something to do with the release of the Evo and some unclear product names or something. That's my best guess.

So, is the TOB not covered under warranty? I was about to take it in because somebody here thought it was covered. Why hasn't there been a recall on this **** yet???
