when i get my camera back i'll post pics of the ACT stage II that i blew...the pressure plate is a bit out of line hahaha the fingers don't rest even anymore, there is a groove from where the TOB was rubbing against it from not disengaging, and the disc itself is mangled a bit..one of the springs has a nice notch missing in it (almost snapped the spring) and the others are a little chipped...what i'm trying to get at is...i drove like an a$$ and abused it so it gave out.

these things should be a-hole proof

Organic faces have smoother engagement. You're pretty much always going to want a spring hub disk in order to reduce driveline shock on any car that you plan on streeting. I would have thought the copper faced 4 puck on my CM stage 4 would be a horribly stiff engagement before I bought it. Turns out it's only slightly more harsh than the stock clutch, but holds power much better. On the other hand it isn't something you want to feather. You're off or you're on. The Ceramic and metal faces pretty are pretty much on/off clutches, the organic faces tend to be more like stock, but they hold a lot less power too.

Yeah, I don't know why CM sells so many stages, but it sure helped to illustrate my point.

I bought one for a 1.8l 5g Mirage. I'm tired of saying this, but I know you're good people coma so I'll say it again, the pressure plate and clutch disc from the 1.8l 5g Mirage fit just fine, but the TO bearing will not. As far as I know I'm the only person who's used a Mirage clutch in his Lancer (despite the fact that I did this and shared the info over 2 years ago), but the options are certainly out there for anyone who wants to take advantage of them.

I did check quotes on other companies and they are more. NJ insurance is insane, let alone when you have points on your liscence. I'm sure that hobie would agree with you (he's in Jersey too).

Try www.esurance.com they should be very reasonable my insurance went from $432 a month down to about $252 a month. They saved me a lot of money.

Ouch - sorry about your clutch. I know the feeling of being kicked in the *** repeatedly. For info on the works stuff PM wiretap - he has the works flywheel/stage 2 clutch/ ss clutch line package and he really liked it. I was going to go that route too but I am getting transferred in November so i needed to save the money for moving

Hobie did you buy a new TOB or just reuse the old one? I know your car was down for a long while.
