stock clamping force number?
stock clamping force number?
I am doing research on a new clutch and I was wondering if you anyone knows our stock clamping force number?
The reason I am asking is because some manufacturer's quote the actual clamping for number while others quote a perecentage over stock.
On a side note (I don't want to start a new thread):
Should I get a lightened flywheel? I heard our stock flywheel is designed pretty well.

the whole percentage jibba-jabba sucks. ACT and Clutchmasters both used to display how much torque their combination of pressure place and clutch would yield, although i can't find the pdfs and xls' that used to be around. both stage 1's would hold a little under 300 lbs of torque which would be just enough(conservatively) to barely cover a RRM stage 2 turbo car.
it's possible if you look around on the net, you might be able to find these files. these are the same units used on the 1.8L mirage, so check for that as well.
i'm sure those files will show up somewhere in my comp...
