Zoom Clutches

After doing some serious searching online I came across a clutch called the Zoom Clutch. I have e-mailed the company and they told me that they are a complete kit, including a throwout bearing that the majority of performance clutches for the Lancer do not come with.

Here are the stages and the tourqe specs. Don't ask me why stage 3 handles more than stage 4.

Stage 1 F1-136 133ft. lbs Click here

Stage 2 F2-136 169ft. lbs. Click here

Stage 3 F3-136 229ft. lbs. Click here

Stage 4 F4-136 219ft. lbs Click here

Click here for the PDF of there catalog. Scroll down to page 31.

Summitracing.com carries these clutches but you will have to type the part number in to find it.

If anyone knows anything about these clutches let me know.

Zoom - big name in clutches. If you have or are interested in muscle cars (I have one), you'll already know who they are.

It looks like I will be the first. Although with the way I get paid, I will have to order the clutch and wait two weeks to have it installed.

Summitracing.com Just search for the part number

Stage 1 F1-136 $449.69

Stage 2 F2-136 $469.69

Stage 3 F3-136 $499.69

Stage 4 F4-136 $539.69

This is just a reminder, these prices are from summitracing.com. Partsamerica.com carries these clucthes also. To bad they charge on average $200 more for them. Stage 2 cost $695.99 at partsamerica.com.

I think stage 3 is going to be a bit to much for my car. I think stage 2 will be perfect.

make sure you do a write up if you choose to go with ZOOM. i'm curious how their products hold up on imports.

Not a problem. I'm also having a lightweight flywheel put on while I getting the clutch done.

A little update on the Zoom clutch. If you order it through summitracing.com, they have to special order it. Like I posted above, Stage 2 is $469.69.I found it on one other website, Partsamerica.com, bit it cost a whole hell of alot more ($695.99). I am ordering it tonight, I got a $20 off coupon from summit that needs to be used. The flywheel has been ordered.

Great find kurt - i found some unorthodox clutches too for the Lancers but Zoom is a very nice product.

Well done.
