you could always put a fuel cell in the trunk if you really needed to. i'd like to see this pulled off... it would make for a unique machine for sure.

yeah i thought of that too as a "just incase" measure. we figure... if civics can be converted to rwd and they can do engine swaps... lets TRY to show people that mitsu can pull these type of stunts too!

I don't think making it RWD is as easy as buying a conversion kit, for one we don't have a driveshaft in the rear or axles meant to be powered.

What happen? oh you meant the other david.

i don't think ur making more power by making a lancer RWD. It would be the same...just RWD. Going turbo or something, then that's a different story.

you really don't think he'll be able to do it and I'm sure he knows he needs to form a tunnel for the driveshaft and is prob thinking about the rear diff and axles and hubs he needs. Lets just wait and see thats what i'm doing.

It's not so much that I don't think he can do it, it's more I think it's going to require a lot more work than he is letting on.

I'm pretty sure he's going to continue doing this no matter how many people say it's not worth it, so how about we stop throwing out all this negative crap. Mkay?

Who's being negative? All I've noticed is constructive criticism and things to be aware of, no one has said "this is stupid and so are you for suggesting it", people have simply said "this is a massive project and isn't going to be easy".

Not negative as saying it's stupid or can't be done, but just a negative tone to all the suggestions, sounding like it would be better to not try it.

well lets not all get hostile everybody.... people are entitled to say what they feel... thats cool with me... when you think outside the box and actually take action on it.. people are gonna have their doubts and some people will be cheering you... i wont get all uptight and sensitive about it. its all love to me baby!

I think this is a mod thats worth doing. I mean there are even a few AWD mirages out there... (go check for yourself!!) the Base lancer community needs something else to rave about.. im not doing this to get on an issue of super street or anything like that (if it comes i'll welcome it ) im just doing it cuz i heart my as an O.G. on here i figure if i have the connections and the $ (spent surely but wisely) why not take a few challenges. and if i mess up ...oh well... lifes a !3itch and then you die feel me?

Call RMR, I am pretty sure they make RWD conversion kit for the Evo. I remember reading it somewhere.
