Pop out of 1st?

Anybody else get this problem? It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but sometimes when I'm shifting out of 1st, it tends to make a loud pop or bang and gets the hell out of 1st gear *only when in High RPM*. I was wondering what this problem could be... Hope it's nothing too serious =/ The car still drives fine, it's just a bit annoying and I'm afraid it could lead to problems down the road.

My Evo did this the other day. It was pretty unsettling. Box stock 2000 miles on the odometer.

I see it's a common problem DD: My car has just shy of 3100 miles on it with the mods listed in my sig... I don't wanna have to take it to Mitsu if I don't have to... Those guys are generally jerks -_-.

Try driving with fuel from another gas station... Sometimes, gas stations (esp with big tanks) have water in their fuel due to the condensation.

That shouldn't make it pop out of first. I think it's just the transmission, get some shifter bushings and a short shifter and it should go away for the most part. Only time my car does this is when I'm lazy and then I can usually feel it's going to pop out.
