Sorry for asking a retarded question but I couldn't find the answer using the search feature.

Is there a short shifter for the 08' Lancer?

The '08 Lancer is considered to have a short throw shifter. The shaft is a good bit shorter than the previous iteration (a small bit less than an inch).

As for aftermarket short shifters, I haven't heard anything yet.

Haven't seen anything yet. RRM never bothered with parts of that nature, so we're waiting on Kartboy and Lancershop to step up.

The shifting is short, but i was just curious if there was anything out there that was shorter. Not just the height but the actuall throw. Thanks guys.

One of you should pull the shifter and take some measurements and pictures. There's a possibility it's the same one that previous Lancers used.

I installed a short shifter on my GF's Celica GTS and it made a HUGE difference in distance between gears. I hope they make one for our 08's soon.

I talked to TWM and they said they were working on it. That was about 2 months ago though.
