I've heard its basicly the same transmission only with a different bellhousing and gears. It may work if you use your 4g94 bellhousing. You may have to use ralliart axles.

As far as I know, the transmission is the same, just different gearing. You may not have to go as far on the g64 swap as the other guy did. You might, and should, just be able to use 4g69 axles and not open up the transmission and change out the gears.

I don't mind the opening up process because I know transmission people who can do that. I just...want to know if the mirage will work. Now when you say "different gearing" what do you mean? Different RPM bands? Or you mean just the gears on the inside are different?

The gearing is different, I guess that means rpm bands.

I believe the ralliart has the same gear ratio as the EVO VIII

I would recommend OP to go my route and check on the mirage tranny before looking at the ralliart tranny. Just my .02

The 4G69 transmission uses an intermediate shaft whereas the 4G94 transmission does not. Only the driver side axle will work.
