Angry No clucth

I was driving my lancer to Baltimore yesterday when all of a sudden I pushed in the clutch and it went to the floor. At first I thought the slave cylinder was gone, but after sitting on the side of the road for a few minutes my pedal was working again. So I turned around and went back home. On the way home I lost the clutch again and it popped out of gear. It continued to do this until I got home. Once I made it home I couldn’t put it in gear. After I few minutes I was able to put the car in gear but it was hard as hell. So my question is do you guys think it’s the clutch or the tranny.

There was also a funny sound coming from the tranny. I called the trannny shop were I had my clutch replaced and they said that it might just be the slave cylinder and a bearing. The car has 192,000 miles and he clutch was replaced 30 thousand miles ago.

Try checking your brake fluid to see if its low. If it is low try putting more brake fluid in and bleeding the clutch. That should help it last for a lil while longer.

It's either the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or the lines. Probably not the lines unless you've replaced them with something non-factory.

Is the 2002 transmission the same as the 2006 lancer? If it is than here is the link for just the clutch slave cylinder. I'm thinking its the same someone correct if i am wrong.

If you do the replacement your self consider this tip:
Don't put the used Salve Cylinder assembly on anything that has any value. There will be fluid leaking out of it and it will RUIN, eat through whatever it leaks onto. Learn from other people's mistakes lol
