Vibrating/Buzzing noise during fast acceleration
Vibrating/Buzzing noise during fast acceleration
I have a 2008 Lancer ES with alot of miles and by alot i mean 86000 i bought it 9 months ago with 70,000 since i have had the car when I really get on the gas everything is fine until around 4,000 rpms there is this buzzing or vibrating noise then it goes away at about 5,500 or so. I never thought anything of it. To me it sounds like it is just one of the thousands of peices of plastic vibrating in the dash or underthe hood but someone was looking at buying the car said it sounded like it was the tansmission(i have the cvt) or the engine it self. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know what it could be.
Thanks ahead of time for the help.

If there was a problem with your transmission, i find it very unlikely that the noise would come and go away between a range in RPM. If something is bad in the transmission, it generally is bad through the entire RPM range not between a small part of it.
