cvt upgrade belt?

Would it be possible to upgrade the belt and/or internals of the cvt transmission?

Such as a chain belt or new pulleys like these used in the audi cvt? http://www.luk.de/content.luk.de/en/products/transmission_components/cvt/CVT.jsp

no unless you fabricate, when that belt snaps, EVERYTHING has to be replaced.

the CVT is not really in need of an upgrade. You just need to run with better fluids and an advanced cooling system for the tranny. HEAT is the only thing that kills the CVT. not pressure.

Well luk make chain belts for the cvt like the ones in the a4 and Nissan xtronic that are holding up good. That along with a cooler upgrade and different fluids would make it possible to boost constantly in drive mode?

the group I deal with out of asia that does turbo kits does not recommend D mode operation. D mode generates to much heat and will reduce the life of the transmission.

Manual mode is all i would recommend.

I am not sure why people put the car down so much. Its a great car. And even with moderate abuse, the car is hard to fail/kill. Its pretty decent. Hey your in the states. you didnt pay 30, fo a GTS that doesnt come with navi or HIDs in Canada. lol you have no right to complain j/k

so boosted driving normally (not passing 4.5k) in D mode, will that also reduce the life of the tranny? or are you meaning spirited driving?

and from what you know is there anything other than the sprint booster that can help the CVT take off faster like normal automatics?
