Help with clutch

Help with clutch

im getting ready to replace my clutch and throw out bearing what is the easiest way to pull the trans on a lift or just on the ground from the top or bottom

A lift would definately be best. Most of us dont have that available though. Trans has to come through the bottom. Ive found disconnecting the lower rad hose greatly eases pulling the trans as it gives you the clearance needed to clear the subframe. Pretty easy can be pulled in under 2 hours without much trouble.

yeah a lift would be the way to go if you have access to one. i did mine with a floor jack and i had my jack stands pretty much maxed out and it was a ***** to get it out. even more of a pain to put it back in. but you might as well install an aluminum flywheel while you're in there. that's about what you will save if you took it to a garage
