All you need to do is ensure that the fluid in question has the NS-2 certification. It will say right on the bottle. If it doesn't then you should bring this matter to the attention of he general manager. Howeve. I rrecommend bringing your own oil. Eneos is a Mitsubishi chemical company and their cvt fluid can not be refused. If your dealership refuses have them refuse in writing and send it to head office or eneos directly.

Hope that helps

I just changed my transmission fluid 2 weeks ago and put in Eneos after using DiaQueen since I got it (this is the 3rd time I've changed it), so far so good, I'd trust what these guys say.

My answer is just put the Eneos (or DiaQueen or Redline) because I can't imagine your Lancer is a special lancer with a different transmission unless it came from overseas in an area with wildly different driving conditions than north America. Please don't take that as off the cuff, I mean no insult, I just haven't heard of a CVT transmission on a Mitsubishi lancer with an 4b11 mivec invecs-III engine being attached to any other type or brand or make of CVT transmission other than some have sport mode and some don't (in '10+) models, and that doesn't affect the fluid type either.

So if the dealership said that my guess would be they are just trying to throw confusing blah blah at you so that you get confused and just end up bringing your car to them. I have no other advice, you are as apt as I at scouring the web for specific information.

Yea, you're good to go, as you can see on that very chart either transmission you have is good with SP-III. As for what brand, I went with Eneos because I've been watching these forums and trust the opinions of certain members when I see them.

The very reason I went with that is these forums, read up
