So I have been having a little bit of slow shifting issues between 2nd and 3rd gear on my Lancer. After doing some research, it sounds like a lot of people have been able to replace their transmission input speed sensor and it fixed the issue. So I bought an OEM sensor to try and replace it myself. Upon removing the air filter compartment to get some space around the sensor, I noticed that there are several other components attached to a bracket which cover the the bolt holding the sensor on (attached picture).
Bottom line i'm a little nervous about trying to remove that bracket and get the hoses out of the way so i can replace the sensor. Does anyone have any experience or tips on how to replace this sensor?
Did you mom just post this in another thread? Remove all that ****...it's just a wire bundle...the thing on top of the bolt you're after looks like your shifter cable. That will have to come off cause you don't want to damage it...
You called the wire harness a hose. Probably shouldn't try to DIY a transmission repair until you have a little more basic knowledge. Not trying to be a jerk, just don't want to see you break your car.
