I didn't grease mine and they don't squeak at all.

I suppose with my Evo I am going to have to remove the battery and IC pipes to install the ones under the hood?

You don't need to remove the battery and tray to get to the bushings. I did just to give myself room to work with.

I put these in today and what a difference in shifting. You really don't know until you try it. The shifting is so stiff, and that is a good thing. Everyone that has a short shifter needs to get this installed in their car. I'm putting the base bushings in tomorrow and I can't wait to see what that does.

Ok with the base bushings the shifting feels perfect. I really would suggest this mod to anyone. It was super easy to do.

Lancershop makes base bushings as well. But I still say get Kartboy, cuz they rule.

I have a set of bushings from A2 designs and I have a question:

they are both the same size, how am I going to fit one of them on that second linkage?

You aren't because A2 screwed up. It's a learning process...

You're going to have to contact them and notify them that they can't just make the one bushing twice...

Does anyone have any advice if the smaller upper bushing is really, really hard to budge off of the spindle? The ring that goes around it popped right off, but the bushing just stuck there...i pulled as hard as I dared with a pliers and it wouldn't budge. I haven't tried to put a screwdriver underneath it, maybe that would work. I have a feeling it is rusted on to the spindle. Time to get some more PB Blaster, I guess...
