I was rear ended, so my car was in the shop for about a week. After that, for the next week or so, every time I turned sharp (like everyone else said, to go into a parking space, etc), it made a clunking sound. My 1991 Honda Accord did the same thing about 2 years ago, turned out it was the CV joints failing after the boots deteriorated. However, after about the week, the sound subsided. Who knows!?!?!?!

Weird noise plus

I have the same noise when the wheel is turned all the way, like a grinding sound.
Sounds like the rotors are hitting metal.
One other problem I have is a hissing noise coming from the power
steering rack.
T/S Guide says air in system. Fix by bleeding. Turn wheel all the way
to the right and left while using starter motor. Disabling Ignition system
so the car won'y start.

Angry Ticking,hissing

I think it is the same thing. I wonder if this is a common problem.
I will try the fix first, then take it to a mechanic. Drives me nuts.

the grinding with the wheel turned all te way to the stops right or left is normal. it's like that on every car. it's to let you know you can't turn more and you shouldn't be turning te wheel this much. holding it against the bump stops like that can damage the powersteering pump.

Hissing Noise

Anyone have a hissing or ticking sound coming from the steering system?
When I hold the wheel and turn it a couple degrees the noise disappears.
When I let go of the wheel it starts. 2002 OZ

i have some grinding noise like metal rubbing aginst rough metal. but then again i think its because i installed the Tein Super streets. i think the pillow mount is rubbing on the top strut mount or the house of the chassis.
