anyone install an air/fuel gauge on their lancer?

i got the red wire to power....got the blck wire to ground....hooked up the white wire to the green/white wire (dimmer wire is this correct?) and i hooked up the purple wire to the white and red air/flow signal wire off of the ecu....now heres the prob.....once i turn on my lights...the gauge looses power but when i got my lights off...the gauge has power.....also....the gauge stays on one led (last led -rich)....doesnt move at all....doesnt do nothing....anyone got input?

As far as the light staying in one spot...the O2 sensor has to warm up before it is going to start to read something. Once you get the power problem figured out you will have to drive your car around until it reaches N.O.T for it to come out with an accourate reading.

As far as power...where are you getting the power sorce from? Try a different power source...maybe the fuse on the powersource you have now wont support extra power going to your guage.

my 02 connection is after the 02 sensor connector under the hood. I've heard of people installing theirs on the ECU or 02 sensor. for me the 02 sensor reads O.K. Hope this helps-

Are there two white wires, one for the front and back, just like the mirage?

If the last rich led is the only one staying lit that means that the ground wire might not be making good connection. Check your wires and make sure that they are all making a good connection. The correct wire should be the 6th wire from the left for o2 which is white like you said.

When you first turn your car on it should start over on the lean side (red leds) and begin to move up.

It's a solid white wire, that's what I used. I think on the pinout diagram it's number 76.
