Question rmr intake idle

After you huys put your rmr on are you supposed to let the car idle for aboout 10 mins or no? if so why?

getting one for christmas!

naw, put it on and go out 'n ride! ecu will compensate eventually. i really see no danger in not waiting.

well the instruction on the rmr said u are suppose to let it idle for 15 mins...and i left it on for 20 mins...but watever u want to do...but i was jus following the instructions

i think you should leave it idle for about 20 minutes, just to be on the safe side

I followed directions and let it idle. It won't hurt to let your ecu adjust while it's in park instead of running it around immediately. Unless you're in a big rush or something.

It could help you avoid running a lean fuel mixture for a while though. It's probably best just to either let it idle or reset the ECU and let it idle in order to avoid that while driving, but I doubt it will do any serious damage.

Yeah, I agree with Hobie. When I put on my intake, it took a painstakingly long time for my ECU to adjust cause I drove immediately without letting the ECU adjust. Eventually I reset the ECU, and let it sit longer, and it was all fine. Any intake requires the ECU to catch on.
