HELP, Oil light????

HELP, Oil light????

I have a 2003 Lancer es and when the car idles or in is an rpm lower than 1000 the oil light flickers on. I never comes on fully, but it does flicker. anyone have any ideas???

Anyone???? the light only comes on after 15 mins as well. any help would be appreciated.

low oil pressure, check your oil level,

Bing! Also check for possible leaks. Make sure the pressure isn't bleeding out some stupid leak like a loose cap.

oil level is fine, that was the first thing i checked.

something could possibly be plugged, and it might not be sucking enough oil from the pan at low RPM's, I would highly suggest NOT driving it until you figure out exactly what is wrong. if it is in fact NOT getting enough oil you could quickly screw over your engine, some damage could possibly be already done. If you've still got warranty, get it to the closest dealer, if not, take it to you favorite mechanic
