2000 RPM rattle

I have not really noticed?? frchg123 how much was the difference when you measured it??? I lowered my car, and still dont notice, or maybe it is because I never really looked....*shrug*

I dont know if someone has mentioned it, but this thing happened to me and it took me 2 weeks to find out what it was.

The thing that makes the rattling noise is the clamp on the heatshield on the stock DP. most likely is it rusted and is just rattling.

its annoying as hell, but when i fixed it, it was such a relief. go check your car and see if thats the problem because everything you mentioned points to that.

just go check your exhaust for stuff that moved around a lot and youll probably find something

yeah, i've got it too...rattles every gear at around 2-2.5rpm's its really annoying when i'm driving i tried revving the car in Neutral and in park but no rattle.

just check your exhaust for loose bolts or clamps. itll usually rattle or buzz at lower rpms if thats the problem

I figured out that the rattle i was hearing was from my exhaust heat shield directly underneath the gas tank.. the clamp had rusted through, so i put i new one on and no more problem.

i just last week changed my headers, down pipe and exhaust and spun my cat around backwards. THE RATTLING IS STILL THERE!!!

nope, didn't work. i don't know what to do now, i took off the heatshield and heat wrap the hell out of my dp and still RATTLE. checked the who exhaust and can't find anything. any more suggestion out there????
