OK, there are 3 wires on the o2 sensor...white, black and blue...which one do I tap into for the gauge?

Should I splice into all three, or ground on the chassie and tap power else where? I know I'm supposed to ground it closest to the sensor as possible for best read, but not sure if tapping the ground on the sensor is a good idea.

I've hooked it up, but am not getting decent voltage...should I go directly to the ECU wire? I was told that if your O2 sensor wire is shielded, it won't work correctly. ..... So anyone here with a lancer that has a A/F/ gauge post and let me know how yours works and how you hooked it up....
Thanks

the best place to tap the o2 sensor is not at the o2 sensor itself but at the ecu

Tap into the wire at the ECU download a diagram (pages 44-46) of the MFI system. You'll want to tap into C-116 #71...that's the signal wire.

I tapped into the sensor itself... the trick is tap into the side before connector. Side after connector is shielded. I set the car up and gauge read perfect(dyno proven) The gauge will fluxuate during idle and anything less than %80 throttle. This is due to the constant corrections/changes being applied by the ECU to keep everything perfect. After %80 throttle the ECU goes into an open loop running off a preset map and curve. This is where your control comes in. As you floor it you should see the gauge stick in an area. Adjust the regulator until you get it where you want it. For any takers out there i will be getting rid of my gauge and aftermarket regulator(0-60Psi adj) due to going turbo next week. Be happy to assist in install and i've made a custom adapter that connects directly where the old regulator does. Check out my picts on profile... they suck but you can see the idea.

Hey guys whats up,

I to am installing the A/F gauge I already have power n ground, just need to find the correct wire for the Oxygen sensor...I also have the AFC installed kinda really need the A/F gauge with the AFC...while at work I went to our mitsu dealer for a oil filter to do my O/C... So while I was there I also got a diagram from one of our techs.. Now apparentlly it's a blue with red wire, but i don't trust that ... I dunno I really think it's one of those white wires.... I just got off of work now though so I'm a little lazy right now but I do have to clean my car out for tonight ... So maybe I'll mess with it then... Oh by the way the gauge I got is a 2 1/16" Auto Meter Matches the dash nicely..
