Do I need to replace my air filter or just get a recharger?

I got a injen cai & I've had it for about 20,000miles now. I'm feeling a slower
throtle repsonse & figure it might be a dirty air filter. (Due to the semi-rainy
conditions in SoCal) Do I need to get a new filter or can I just use on of thoose
recharge kits ( Like This? ) Or might it be some other problem?
(Please help I'm tired of getting burned by stock 1990 accords on the freeway)

ya, jus go buy a new k&n filter, dont waste your money on cheap crappy ones(apc, 3aracing, or the like), then when the k&n gets dirty use the recharge kit. also, we would prolly get burned by stock '90 accords anyways, regardless of filter condition, lol.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but how long should one let the filter dry after a recharge?

Hey buddy,
I recharged my filter, and trust me it's worth it. It's like brand new and you won't believe how dirty the filter was after you clean it. When you run the water through it you can see all the tiny contaminents that restricted air flow before.

I do not know if Injen uses K&N Filters, but AEM does. Find that out first. If it's not a K&N filter, just get a K&N filter because those will last you a lifetime if you recharge it every so often.

Also recharging your kit is not just in ur head. Your throttle improves and you get better MPG. Basically your whole intake system will be how it used to be the day you took it out of the box and installed it.

the recharger kit comes with instructions. It comes with a cleaner that u put on and hose the filter with. Then when it dries, there is a special red oil that helps further keep out contaminents. all in all 3 hours total or sumthin. Just do other mods while u wait, screw ur girl, or play bball. it's all good.

Found the recharge kit at autobarn.com for $14.90 shipped - look forward to doing this to my filter since my MPG has been suffering for sometime.
