^mine did it before I did anything to my stereo, it mostly has to do with humidity and the mixture of materials in the seat fabrics, causing static when you slide out. I just grab the A-pillar and ignore it, I'm used to it now

you will eventually get used to, dont bother getting a grounding kit. just be careful when putting gas in your car.

Yes...that gas comment. That is definitely something to be aware of. Shoot...I can see the headlines now. "Local gas station up in flames due to static discharge..."

seats

i think mine was due to the stock seats after i put in my vinyl racing seats i never got shocked again but now i've got my factory seats in i find my self feeling like palpatine using the force to close the door
