I know that the Mirage guys reported problems with their stock pads, so, it's possible that some of us got some of the same batch (although the mirage and ES lancer don't use the exact same pads, just saying same material). All I know is that I don't wear my brakes more than what I'd call normal (although my right foot has a tendancy to press the pedal ALL they way down), but, mine are toast after just a little over 13K.
