Need Help Please!!

okay.. i did a search.. tried a couple things... still cant figure it out......this is the situation..... i had a sound system (amp subs deck)... and it got stolen... i had ran all my wires under the panels and wen they jacked it.. i kept the wires.. i dont think any of the wires were producing any energy cuz it was hooked up to nothing... okay (im also amateur about cars/electronics.. stuff like that) so couple months later i notice my lights start to dim when i either press on the brakes or put my windows down, when i play music the light on the stock deck will fade as the bass hits, i turn on the a/c and i hear a pretty high pitched iono how to describe it but kinda like ticking. My car stalls sometimes when i turn my lights on at night (AND I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC)... and most of the time on hot summer days my a/c will not work and my remoteless entry wont either... but today out of all days im sick of it i dont know what the problem is... its 120 degrees outside mid day in vegas and im driving home from work and what happens 10 mins after i start driving.. THE AC DIES.. so i have no idea what the problem is but i need some help please someone.. HELP ME OUT.. ive never sweat so much in my life before

i got the same issue as u except the stuff in bold, its just the battery not producing as much power anymore and ur amp is taking the power from the rest of ur stuff cuz there prolly isnt as much resistance. but that AC and stalling problem, i have no clue what thats from.

You have a power wire going to ground some where. Electrcity follows the path of least resistance, which is the wire touching ground. All of your elctricity is runnung through that wire anhd your alternator cant keep up. All of your accessories are dying because they arent recieving enough power. Trace all of the wires they yanked and see if there is a break in the wire or see if a power wire is in contact with metal anywhere around that area.

im not 100% sure but i think that may be a sign of the battery or alternator going out

Yeah, Id check the constant or 12 V supply to the deck and make sure thats not being grounded.

go to a battery place, have them hook up an ammeter between your battery and car, turn everything OFF (but with the key on) and see if it's drawing any amps, should be very very minimal if things are normal, I don't know exactly how much tho. If it's high, then start pulling fuses on things until you find the fuse that has the draw, then find out what's hooked to that circuit

Also, if you have a thumping system, may I recommend picking up a CAPACITOR. It stores energy, so when your bass hits, it don't drain the battery. Or you can also upgrade you alternator, to more ampage. But, then again check all your wiring as SUP A TEK stated.

It all depends on the wattage that you are pushing. I am pusing abot 900 watts. I have a 1.5 farad capacitor. Anywhere between 90 and 130 for a good one.

why dont you have it diagnosed by an auto shop? just about every suggestion possible has been made, have some place check your alternator and battery and all other connections. you say you just bought the battery and the alternator is fine, but such products are very prone to being defective, so do yourself a favor and just go and have a shop check it out.
