Help ASAP-Very low idle
Help ASAP-Very low idle
So I went back out and regapped my sparkplugs today. So I finally removed the negative battery cable but was not able to unscrew it to remove it. So I just slid it back on. Im thiking my low idle now may have to do with the negative battery cable not making an extremely good connections. When I come to a stop my car goes all the way down to around 500 rpms and stays there and it sounds like the engine is having rouble staying running as it shakes a little. Any help here
Might have a bad plug or wire too. Nothing too uncommon. Remove all the plug boots and reseat them. Make sure there is no dirt or corrosion on the boot or plug.
You should go pick up a set of plugs at your dealer. They'll gap them for you if they aren't already the right range. I think I got my set of 4 for like 8 bucks. Best way to make sure it's not a plug issue.

Well I increased the gap from .40-.41. And I also removed the battery cable. Last time I did it I removed the positive cable beacuse I can get it unscrewed and not have to slip it back on. Could it be a loose ground cable.

I already told him something similar in his other similar spark plug post here on evom. Aftermarket plugs don't make one go faster, they just make your wallet lighter.
