Problem with installing RRM test pipe

I recently bought a used RRM test pipe off here and im having some problems with installing it. I first tried myself by jacking the front end of my car and getting the bolts off.. i couldnt really jack my car to high up and i was unable to reach and get a good grip on the bolts... So i took it to a shop where they said that the O2 sensor rusted over and the only way for them to take it off was to break the sensor.. i was wondering has this happened to anyone else and what can be done for me to install my test pipe, should i take it to another shop and see what they say?

Heres how i got my o2 sensor off. Sprayed it rather generously with wd-40 and poured a bunch of liquid wrench on it. then removed the cat with the o2 sensor still on. Then i took to it with a adjustable wrench and voila, came off like nothing. taking it off gave me a better angle to grab the sensor.

Then you're either 500 lbs., or your jack sucks.

You might need a new jack if you can't get under your car after jacking it up...

you can disconnect the 02 from the car and pull the cat with the 02 attached to it out from under the car, and work on it like that. there is arubber grommet that blocks the bottom of the car from the inside, where the 02 wiring goes into, pull that out and reach inside there is a clip in there that you should be able to pull out. disconnect it there and unbolt the cat and bring the whole assembly out as one. then you may have to heat the 02 bung in ordre to get it to break loose.

Jeff, how's it going? Anyway get your hands on some penetrating oil. The WD-40 won't do jack. Liquid wrench is the best when it comes to rusted nuts so it should help with your problem. If I were you I'd spray it with the liquid wrench over night, next morning run your car for a few minutes to heat up the O2 sensor. Spray it again and take it off, just use gloves. That's how I am going to do mine when I get the chance, but I totally feel you man. These suckers are a biatch to get off.

Just don't get any Liquid Wrench or WD40 on the actual O2 sensor itself; might mess it up.

sucks about the belt. how is the test pipe coming along? like shingen said, WD-40 does nothing. get penetrating oil if you haven't done so already. local hardware shop will have it. be careful not to damage the o2 sensor with the oil.

you can spray it on normally. just be careful once its out that the oil doesn't drip onto the sensor. the upper o2 sensor is 7/8 or 15/16 i believe. i think the downstream is the same.
