plug 4 dosent sound good.. you are more than likely running lean in that cylinder if the plug is melted.

Check the wires, definitaly change the plugs and make sure you get the correct ones. And then look for sticky about 'misfire' it's in Engine Tech or Troubleshooting, top of the screen by comatose.

When you have a misfire you are running very very lean in that cylinder. I wouldn't drive the car until you figure things out. You are very likely to blow up.

What plugs are you using? Did you clean out the spark plug wells? Make sure there is no moisture/oil where the spark plug screws in.

it is possible to have a rich misfire too but that doesn't seem to be the case here

check out the sticky i wrote. greg already linked you. then post answers to some of these:

-is the car only misfiring at low RPM's?
-essentially you have a sh*ty idle but does it smooth out as you accerate? does it get worse? does it stop completely?
-how were you driving when you first noticed the problem?
-is the blow-by oil burnt?
-when was your last oil change?
-what octane fuel is in the car at the moment?
-did you put OEM plugs back in or did you go a step colder?
-were you driving when the code came back or was the car at idle?

..........you get the point. PM me if you need to. i recommend you read the sticky and work from there. i will subscribe to this thread incase you have more questions. if you can answer the ?'s i posted, it will help us get you pointed in the right direction.

1.) start off by changing your oil + filter.

2.) if you can, try to go 1 step colder on the plugs. Greg (gregiv) is the man to talk to about spark+ ignition. he wrote a nice sticky on deciding which plugs. i'll like you if you have trouble finding it.

3.) make sure you check the conditions of the coil packs and wires.

4.) properly gapped plugs will ensure a smooth idle. to wide or narrow of a gap will rough things up. i beleive oem gap is .44 or something like that.

5.) check your PCV valve. it's on top of the valve cover towards the left. unsrew it-->then shake it. if it doesn't make a metalic jingling noise....get a new one. $3.50 at autozone. if it's clogged it will sound dull or make no noise at all. poor vetilation to the head can cause the oil to burn up.

6.) put a good tank of gas in the car. run 94 or 93 if you can.

7.) get your hands on a GOOD can of Gum-Out fuel system cleaner. it's a small bottle, clear, goldish fluid. follow the instructions on the bottle. it's only $5

8.) clear the codes. drive the car conservetively. see if the code comes back.

these are the cheap, simple things you can get started with. after that you'll start looking more into the fuel system, but for now this will give you about 20 minutes of tune up stuff to do. that stuff usually smoothes out the low RPM misfires. most cases aren't anything too crazy. let me know how that work out for you.

EDIT: here is a link to the spark plug sticky done very nicely by greg.
