If you pull the fuse for you ECU the car shouldn't even start. Believe me, I've seen one blow before.

That sounds like first hand experience.

What you are doing is effectively unplugging your ECU. Your car "might" ( might i say) start without it, but it defintily wont run well at all.

Now what the hell is the ECU doing in the fuse box!? Mine tends to move like that too...one day I came out and it was sitting in the passenger seat asking me to drive it to the store...so I did of course!!! Man you wont believe My boost increase, upped it to 22psi. Im gonna take it to the track now and get my ETA, I bet I could be in the high 12's. Now I won't let my ECU sit anywhere else!!!!

I think we've strayed enough. All in good fun, but let's at least try to figure out what the hell he's talking about before I have to throw this to OT.

there is somethnig called the "Front ECU" in the fuse box (big green rectangular block) under the hood. I don't know what it does tho. I'm guessing its for all the relays and crap for all the switches for various thnigs like headlights, AC, and other crap.
