Vibration when I drive

Ok now sure what it can be. I have had my tires balanced and had an alignment done. It vibrates when I get up to 60 and does it from about 60-70 sometimes 60-65. No vibration when I brake. I did have an accident and they did replace some stuff on one side of the vehicle that was hit. It was doing it before I got my rims I have now so I know that is not the cause.

Anyone know what the problem may be.

Crappy balance job. You have to watch them fools. I caught some idiot adding more weights to my rim after he had mounted a new tire while balancing it without taking off the old weights from the old tire.

Rotate the rears to the front and see if it goes away. Then you know.

EDIT: They also will run it on the balancer, put the weights on where it says and then take it as good. Make sure they spin it up after the add the weights too.

Yea I watched them do it and when they added the weights they would spin it again.

It could be the tires or it could be something in the front end. I would get the front end components checked out too to be safe.

Since I was in an accident and the dealership fixed it should I take it back to them and have it checked out?

That would be a good idea.

Your Tie Rods may gone bad from the impact from the accident. Maybe your Control arm is a bit bent and they could have over-looked it. It could be alot of things. I suggest take it back to the dealership and let them worry about it since they did " fix it ".

Yes, things get overlooked especially at the dealership. My friend had his brakes done and right after he was having the same problem as you. It turned out it had nothing to do with the brakes but was a bushing on the ball joint.

Ok it does it sometimes and sometimes it does not do it. They are both smooth roads. One is the freeway the other is the feeder. It vibrates more on the freeway then the feeder. Do you think they can say anything cause of the bigger rims?

hmm.... Does the car go to the sides when driving fast? if so you probably need an alignment. If you state tires are balanced, then we can factor that out.

TESTsomething for me, jack up your car so both front wheels are in the air, and move the tire as if you were moving the steering wheel. Grab the rim from both ends and just move it side to side and if you notice some play to it? That means you probably have some bad tie rods.

Just got an alignment done already and still there. My other question will they try to blame it on the bigger rims since at the time of my accident I had 16s?

They could blame it on the bigger rims... but they probably won't even know.
How bad is the vibration?
What kind of tires are you running, the threading could cause vibration.....

damn, this is getting just wierd... Just wait and see what the shop tells you.

Humor me and yourself and put the back tires on the front and see what happens.
