hid flickering randomly
Just installed my hid kit from the Banzai Express groupbuy and after the bulbs have heated up and im driving around i notice that the bulb will flicker, like a fast off on flicker. I was wondering if this is a normal thing or maybe something could be wrong with the ballasts... I hope its a normal thing. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!
yup recheck your connections...
since this is up, let me ask a question. I've had my HID's for about 2 years now and was wondering if the bulb is starting to go green on me ( it was blue ) does that mean it's time to change them?

OK flickering came back. So...i ziptied all the wires to make sure they weren't moving around, and grounded the negatives directly to the battery ground because i was told by customer service at BanzaiExpress that my ground wasn't good. So the problem is still there but occurs less often. I've read how the flickering on/off of the hid bulbs can be detremental to the bulbs longevity so i really wanna find out how to stop this problem...Anybody got any ideas?
When i first powered up my hids the bulbs sort of flashed really bright randomly while the bulb was heating up. This problem went away after a few days though.

also, if the ballast body is metal, then make sure that it does not touch ground.
as for the ground, i would ground to body w/ a wire as short as possible, it is not beneficial to ground directly to battery
one more thing, if you used any type of vampire t's or other crimps to connect any wires, undo them, soldier the connections, and then use liquid e-tape to make the connection as water resistant as possible.
