CEL light on EVEN with eliminator!

headers installed last night, thought everything was ok.

The headers i installed were from RRM, with the CEL eliminator, low and behold, the CEL light decided to come on today. Anybody else had this problem? What routes were taken in gettin it taken care of?

unplug the battery, leave it sit for 5 min, reconnect the battery, start and drive for at least 15 min, shut off car. thats it.

also i have the eliminator with my header and no matter what i do i cant get the CEL to go out. but i might have fried the o2 sensor by trying so hard.

k wait, robert tallini sent me an email saying the eliminator must be connected to the 2ND cat, not to the headers themselves, you guys tried that?

funny thing is i never got directions when i got mine delivered, but rob says it should be off when its in the 2nd cat. So if that doesnt work, looks like ill get used to the blinding yellow Service engine soon light that now keeps me company while i drive.

maybe someone could do a west coast customs job and mount it to the trunk? i bet that drum would add like 80 horsepower, easily.

you could just disconnect that bulb that illuminates the check engine if you're so annoyed...

On topic - the o2 bung must go on the 2nd cat.
