A/C Overflowing onto Floor

Dealer at the Hyundai/Mitsu dealer in PA told me that the overflow hose was pinched or clogged... but didn't know where it was. Does anyone have a clue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Chances are it's run down by the heater core. Was it leaking over by the glove compartment?

I had a pinched/twisted/plugged hose on my Accord. The problem was that the draining for the windshield also ran through the same hose. During winter, after defrosting, the passenger side would fill up with water and freeze. Fun stuff.

A pinched hose isn't a really big deal, except for the fact that I haven found the one on this car yet. I belive it's on the passenger side (under the hood, of course). I'll see if I can find it on lunch break and I'll let you know if I do.

Yes, it's running under the glove box. Also found out that the carpet is plastic-backed, so the water won't go through and trap between the carpet and the floor.

Anyone have any idea where this drain hose would be so I could stop the water from flooding my car?

This happens to all kinds of cars, not just the Lancer. I think my free trial on Mitsutechdocs has expired, maybe I can find out where that damn hose is.

Exclamation

hey guys. just registered. ive been checking out the site but
finally decided to register when i saw this problem. i work at
a mitsu dealership in lewisville texas. the problem you are
having is a clogged evaporator drain hose. its located in
the engine compartment on the firewall. it will be a little
black rubber boot. it is bent into an L shape. it is near the
center of the firewall, maybe just a little closer to the drivers
side. it's either clogged or misaligned. a mitsu dealer shouldn't
have a problem locating it. let me know if you get it resolved
