thumping sound?

i figured it was time for a brake job cuz ive been squeeking lately. so i changed my rotors and pads and found that one of the 2 clips for thew pads were missing so i called the place i bought the pads and aked him if it would hurt anything and he sayed it shouldnt. so i finished the job and the squeeking was still there but not as bad. i did them last weekend. and today i started noticing a thimping sound when i let go of the gas. then it goes away when i brake. and now its making the sound as im braking. sounds like a flat tire almost. any body had this happen? think its that one clip and after a week it starts making the noise?

It's worth checking. The pad might be bouncing around loose in there...

Mine makes the same sound, I guess I'll go out and check my lug nuts.

Whoa! Hand loose lugnuts! That's a death trap right there!

And for the squeeking, was it the "clip" on the pads that were missing or the clips on the caliper that hold the pads in place? 4 clips per caliper...

BTW, you can get a new set of those clips for the caliper from the dealership for $7/8, if remember right. At 75k miles, I thought those clips were due for a change anyhow.
