Huh... I know I'm not an 08, but I had the same problem with my lancer too... in between shifts, say for example I'm driving and shifting at 3.5k, it'll stay near 3k until I hit the next gear. It isn't really a problem, but if yours is shooting higher, then i'd understand... hope it all gets resolved fairly quickly!

 

im experiencing the same problem. when i put on neutral and idles, my rpm reads 1000 something. thats retarded.

 

the new Civic Si's use the same type of drive by wire and in between shifts the revs hang. Im thinking its just the design of the system. It probably does that for a reason. Maybe in anticipation of a shift, who knows
