I am presently at 600KM and No problems with starting . Question for you guys though whats the tempreature like where you are I am at 10 - 15 degrees Celcius or 50 Degrees F. I had new car Jitters last week. I have the sun and sound package and beleive it or not. It was the 1 st time I was starting the car with the radio low close to off so I turned the key to On and I heard a series of clicks almost like a partiall dead batter when you are trying to start. So I am the dealer for half an hour they finally take a look at the car so the technician calls me and says ok I turned the AC to off from Auto do you still hear the noise I am like yeh. So I let him know its only when you turn it to ON before startup an he let me know those were a series of Solenoids opening and priming. I told him I figured I just wanted to be sure.

So if you here that noise its ok.

OK Scary it happend to me this morning. All members on this board who have had this problem has it re-occurred because of this thread I might carry mine to the dealer today. This should not happend. I started and it would not catch on . Stopped thought about this thread and tried again and it started. I hope it does not happend again it would be very embarassing my new 2008 car wont start on the first try. Present mileage 1054km.

OK here is the deal I called my dealership and told them about this thread they said that they have not rerceived any bulletins. So they said I should bring it in . Seiing it only happend once I willl watch it for a couple more days if it happends again I will carry it in and advise you guys if it something to worry about. Guys you have to realize a 2 Week car this should never happend to . Especially with the money you spent . Can you imagine me showing my car off to someone and it wont start hell no.

I don't know if this is the same problem but twice since I got mine the ignition wouldn't turn forward like it was locked or something. Is this what you guys are talking about? Mine is a CVT with FAST key. It hasn't happened in 2 weeks but who knows...

i had that happen to me when i was looking at the scion tc about 1.5 years ago. key wouldnt move, then when i did get it to start i turned it off and the key wouldn't come out. but haven't that problem with the lancer yet. but like showtime said bring it in and get it checked out, i'd hate to have that problem with the "locking".
